• Forbidden Zone was originally supposed to be a short titled "The Hercules Family" loosely based around the Hercules's with 12 musical numbers!
• Marie-Pascale Elfman, at the time Richard Elfmans wife, created the movies sets along with playing Frenchy Hercules!
• Matthew Bright, a screenwriter and director for FZ, originally planned for the film to include a scene of Squeezit Henderson getting beat up for eight straight minutes along with his blood being wiped on the walls. He later stated "I didn't have any sense of limits or balance then, at the time, I... you know, I was just, didn't know what I was doing. I needed reining in." He also planned to include a scene of the character being castrated!
• Forbidden Zone 2 has been in production for 13-14 YEARS! Some believe the marketing was a scheme created by Elfman, due to the sheer length of wait-time for production!
• During filming, a lighting stand fell onto Brights head, cracking his skull. He was rushed to the hospital and ended up with a mild concussion and whiplash, but continued with filming!
• The production of Forbidden Zone eventually bankrupted Elfman, and had to end up selling the rights to the movie. But, he ended up regaining them in 2015!
• Matthew Bright went under the name "Toshiro Baloney" in his credits for this movie!
• The animation throughout the movie, most prominent in the intro for the film, was done by John Muto, who later would design in movies like Home Alone (1990) and Species (1995)!
• The film has occasional shadow-cast shows, using the same shadow-casting company as the cult-classic Rocky Horror Picture Show (1975)!
